Flauschi’s Sparkling Green Forelock

Flauschi fancied a colour as cheerful as young leaves glowing in sunshine. With a grown-up hairdresser owl guiding her, she put on little gloves and carefully brushed the sparkling green colour onto her forelock only.

Flauschi“Today my forelock can be as green as spring!”

When Puschel entered the dressing corner, he stopped with wide eyes. The colour was still wet, the brush was ready and Flauschi was curiously inspecting every green strand.

Puschel“That is a very brave splash of spring on your head!”

After rinsing and drying it, Flauschi shaped her new forelock into a lively sweep. Then she stepped away from the mirror, placed one paw on her hip and turned towards Puschel with a radiant ta-da.

Puschel clasped both paws to his chest. His cheeks turned pink, his eyes grew soft—and for the first time that day, he could not think of a single bustling reply.

Puschel“I wanted to say something clever. But my heart is faster than my words right now.”

Flauschi“So you like the green?”

Puschel“I like the green too.”

Now Flauschi’s cheeks felt a little warmer as well. She proudly touched her green forelock, Puschel smiled adoringly—and they both knew that this colour test had turned out especially well.
