Puschel’s Bedtime Mission

That evening, Puschel placed his little teddy in its cosy basket on the bed. Tonight he wanted to make sure all by himself that his friend could sleep especially well.
Puschel“First straighten the pillow, then pull the star blanket up to his chin, and finally add one goodnight smile.”
Puschel lifted the little blue blanket. As he did, his mouth opened into a yawn so enormous that even the bedside lamp nearly felt sleepy.
Flauschi“Would you like some help with your mission?”
Puschel“Not at all. The bedtime expert has everything under con—”
Puschel got no further. His eyes closed and he slowly sank onto the soft bed beside the basket.

The teddy lay neatly beneath its star blanket. Puschel slept beside it, one paw still resting on the blanket’s edge and a contented smile on his face.
Flauschi“Then I suppose I shall tuck in the bedtime expert tonight.”
Flauschi gently pulled the large patchwork quilt over Puschel and wished them both a quiet goodnight. The mission had succeeded—the teddy had simply finished first for once.
