Four Kinds of Weather at Once

Puschel studied the four seasons outside the tree-door and immediately declared a weather emergency. For the sunshine, he found a broad leaf umbrella. For the snow, he fetched a long cloth. Against the wind he meant to hold both especially tightly, and for the shower of petals he opened the picnic basket just in case.
Flauschi“Perhaps we should first watch what the glass flower does,” Flauschi suggested. Puschel nodded eagerly while trying to rearrange the umbrella, cloth and basket all at once.
That was when the wind arrived. The leaf umbrella turned inside out, the cloth wrapped itself around Puschel’s enormous tail and a tiny cloud of snow settled on his forelock. Spring petals and autumn leaves danced in a circle between his ears.
Flauschi caught the glass flower safely in both paws. Then she saw Puschel’s astonished face and burst into warm laughter. Flauschi“Your weather emergency looks remarkably well prepared.” — Puschel“I am merely checking whether all four seasons are truly here,” Puschel explained from inside his cloth knot.
When Flauschi had freed him, the four glass petals lit up one after another and cast a coloured trail towards the forest. Puschel brushed the snow from his fur. Puschel“Excellent. The plan works.” Flauschi offered him her paw. Flauschi“Then let us take the simple part of it this time: we set off together.”
