The Final Pass to the Light

Before the final climb lay a glowing acorn ball. The fifth spark hovered above a little stone goal while the star lantern waited at the side.

Puschel drew back his foot, then remembered Flauschi’s calm passes. Instead of shooting, he gently played the ball to her.

Flauschi“Together to the finish,” Flauschi called and passed it back. Puschel guided the ball through the goal without flattening a single flower.

The fifth spark sailed joyfully into the lantern. Puschel and Flauschi tapped paws: the season’s finest victory had been a team effort.
