Arrival beneath a Thousand Lights

Beyond Mirror Pond the path grew steeper. Puschel pulled the little leaf cart, Flauschi carried the star lantern and the fifth spark floated ahead like a signpost.

At the summit, Puschel stopped so suddenly that the cart almost parked on his tail. The entire Wusel Forest sparkled below them.

Flauschi“Look—every trail of light marks one of our detours,” Flauschi said. Puschel spotted Silver Stream, Whispering Vale and Mirror Pond.

The fifth spark returned to the lantern. A thousand lights answered in the distance, and they both knew that every road home was bright enough now.
