The Tea That Sang Softly

In the upper vale, the night air turned cool. Flauschi placed their little kettle on a warm stone and added berries, woodland herbs and one bellflower leaf.
Puschel“Can tea truly sing?” Puschel asked, holding his ear far too close to the lid. Flauschi gently drew him back. Flauschi“Let it steep first, then listen.”
As she poured, the steam rose in delicate arcs. The bellflowers around them answered with notes so quiet that even Puschel said nothing for a moment.
Then he took a sip. Puschel“It tastes like a warm blanket with a hint of adventure.” Flauschi laughed. Flauschi“That is going straight onto my menu.”
A tiny point of light left the fragrant steam and settled inside the star lantern. Its third spark glowed calmly while they finished their cups and gathered strength for Star Hill.
