The Secret Ideas Page

Flauschi writes on a sheet of paper turned towards her at the low rectangular coffee table. Puschel looks curiously at its top edge without taking it. In the Wuselhouse are the round window, golden autumn trees, paper star, pine cone, Christmas box and bell on a soft cloth.
One secret idea makes Christmas anticipation grow a little.

Flauschi laid a fresh sheet of paper beside the Christmas keepsake box. She wrote a heading at the top, then paused with her pencil. The hedgehog’s kind reply had given her an idea for a Christmas visit.

Puschel edged closer, curious. Puschel“May I read just the heading?” Flauschi turned the sheet slightly towards herself and smiled.

Flauschi“Only the heading. The rest is still a surprise.” Puschel made it out: Puschel“For a special guest.”

Puschel“Do you mean the hedgehog?” he asked at once. Flauschi winked.

Puschel“I’ll tell you when the idea is ready.” Puschel took a sheet of his own and drew a big question mark. Then he put it beside the box without peeking again.

Puschel“I have an idea too: we should leave room for surprises.” Flauschi nodded. The little bell on the shelf stayed quiet; today their Christmas anticipation grew in a gentle hush.

Your little preparation

Draw or write one little idea for bringing someone joy during the Christmas season. You may keep it to yourself until later. One kind act is enough; nobody needs to buy anything.

For adults: An adult can help with writing if needed. A child may keep a kind surprise private; there is no need to show an idea or personal details in public.
