A Picture of the Happiest Moment

Puschel and Flauschi sit at the low rectangular coffee table drawing shared memories on two sheets turned towards them. The camera sees the drawings upside down. The round window, autumn trees, paper star, pine cone, bell and green guest seat remain in the background.
A happy memory makes the darker season a little brighter.

Puschel took two sheets from the tidy stack of paper. Puschel“We need something lovely to tell our Christmas visitor!” Flauschi put the pencil cup between them.

Flauschi“How about a memory that brings us joy even on dark days?” Puschel remembered their afternoon in the golden meadow and began to draw. A tree grew on Flauschi’s sheet, recalling a day when they had sat together beneath its branches.

Both turned their sheets towards themselves so they could draw comfortably. Puschel“My meadow is a little wonky,” Puschel noticed. Flauschi smiled.

Flauschi“But I still remember exactly how we laughed there.” Puschel looked at their colourful pictures. Puschel“Then we can tell the hedgehog the stories behind them!”

They left the drawings on the table and moved their chairs a little closer together. Christmas was still far away. A happy moment together could fit on a little sheet of paper today.

Your little preparation

Draw a happy memory or tell each other about it. Your picture does not need to look perfect. If you like, keep it for a cosy afternoon during the Christmas season.

For adults: An adult can help with suitable pencils and a safe place to sit. Everyone can choose which memory to share; nobody needs to show a picture or personal details in public.
