The Cinnamon Tin

The apple bowl had been put away, but Puschel still remembered its scent. Flauschi placed a little tin on the low table. Flauschi“Today we have something different,” she said.
She opened the lid and took out a cinnamon stick. Flauschi“Would you like to smell it gently?” Puschel nodded.
Flauschi held the stick a little way away from him. He closed his eyes. Puschel“It smells like wood looking forward to becoming a cake!”
Flauschi laughed. Flauschi“I have never heard cinnamon described like that.” Puschel held a paw against his chest.
Puschel“And a little like a warm scarf. Although we have not baked a scarf.” Flauschi“To me it smells like the kitchen when we take our time,” Flauschi said.
She put the stick back and closed the tin. Puschel looked at the pencils and invitation. Puschel“Shall we write down every scent for the party?”
Flauschi gently shook her head. Flauschi“We can simply discover them too.” He liked that.
The tin found a place for later. They had not needed to finish any baking today. A new scent and two very different descriptions were enough.
Your little preparation
Describe a familiar, mild scent in your own words. Nobody has to smell it or join in.
For adults: Adults choose suitable ingredients. Smell gently from a distance; do not inhale spice powder or put anything in the nose. Skip the activity if someone is sensitive or uncomfortable.
