The Recipe for Cosiness

The measuring tape had been put away. Puschel laid a fresh sheet on the low table. PuschelPuschel: “Today we are writing a recipe!” Flauschi looked towards the kitchen. FlauschiFlauschi: “What shall we cook?” PuschelPuschel: “Cosiness,” Puschel said. Flauschi smiled. FlauschiFlauschi: “Then we need a little peace and quiet first.”
Puschel drew a small cushion. PuschelPuschel: “And a big helping of laughter!” He added a happy face. Flauschi pointed to the empty space beside it. FlauschiFlauschi: “Time for each other belongs in it too.”
Puschel drew two pawprints side by side. He studied their recipe. PuschelPuschel: “Does it go in the oven now?” Flauschi giggled. FlauschiFlauschi: “We can start right away. Without an oven.”
She put the pencils back in the cup. Puschel left his sheet on the table and sat on the sofa with Flauschi.
For a while they just listened to the quiet crackling of the fireplace. PuschelPuschel: “It is getting cosy already,” Puschel whispered. FlauschiFlauschi: “And we do not have to finish anything else today,” Flauschi said. Outside, the golden leaves moved. Their little recipe could simply wait for them.
Your little preparation
Think together about what makes a moment cosy for you. If you like, draw a little picture of it, or simply make time for each other.
For adults: Taking part is optional. Quiet and closeness may look different for everyone; nobody has to draw, talk or cuddle. Keep a safe distance from the fireplace.
