The Trail of the Wandering Wind

From the old viewing terrace, the fading weather wind reveals its route through all four garden sections to Flauschi.

The weather whirl weakened, yet continued to draw coloured paths above the garden. Between the hedges, Puschel and Flauschi could not see where one colour began and the next ended. They climbed back to the old viewing terrace.

Puschel spread the leaf-shaped garden map across the low stone wall. Flauschi held the glass flower by its green ribbon and looked over the four great sections. The pink petal of the glass flower lit first.

Far below, the wind travelled through the pink spring garden. Then its light turned gold and crossed the sunflowers. Orange-red leaves carried the trail onwards into autumn before it reached the winter gate as an icy-blue gleam.

Flauschi traced the whole route with one paw. Flauschi“Blossom, sun, leaf, snowflake,” she said slowly. Flauschi“Spring, summer, autumn, winter. The wheel does not want just any arrangement. It wants the natural journey of the year.”

Puschel drew no signs on the map. Instead, he placed the four rescued tiles along its edge in exactly that order. The glass flower shone from pink to gold, orange-red and icy blue. Puschel“You found the sequence!” he cried. Together, they set off back towards the wheel.
