Summer Tea in the Snowfield

Before the final hill, Puschel and Flauschi found a little green island beneath a tree. Snow glittered all around, yet the moss was warm enough for a rest. Flauschi arranged two leaf cups, bread and berries on their blanket.
The summer wind made the berry tea so hot, however, that Puschel could only hold his nose above the cup on his first attempt. Puschel“I think my tea would like to wait for a season of its own.”
He carefully nudged the cup towards the edge of the snow. There the winter magic cooled it—pleasantly at first, then a little too eagerly. The cup began to slide away along a thin track of ice.
Flauschi blocked it with the leaf tray, and Puschel caught the cup in both paws. Not one drop was lost. Flauschi“Summer for warming and winter for cooling,” Flauschi said. Puschel“And Flauschi for braking,” Puschel added.
They shared bread and berries and drank their tea exactly between the warm air and cool snow. On the travel basket, the glass flower glowed calmly in all four colours. The garden waited beyond the final hill. For that evening, however, two cups, a blanket and anticipation of the next morning were enough.
