The Root Goal

A tiny goal appeared between two old roots by the stream. In front of it lay an acorn glowing from within.

Puschel took a run-up. Puschel“One shot, one spark!” The acorn bounced off the left root and rolled straight to Flauschi.

Flauschi“Perhaps it wants a pass,” said Flauschi. She played it gently back, and this time Puschel waited for exactly the right moment.

Together they sent the spark-ball through the root goal. The star lantern beside the pitch flared, and a second spark jumped inside.

Puschel“Our goal!” Puschel cheered. Flauschi nudged his shoulder with a smile. Flauschi“Our pass, our goal.” Then they ran after the travelling light.
