Berry Soup Before the Crossing

At the shore of Cloud Lake, another question waited. An island lay in the mist, visible for only a few heartbeats.

Before crossing the lake, Puschel warms purple berry soup and pours with a little too much enthusiasm. Flauschi catches the last rolling berry with her spoon while the leaf compass points towards the island.

Soon everything smelled of berries and warm pastries. Puschel supplied momentum and Flauschi the proper measure; between them, a little muddle became delicious.

Puschel“Berry Soup Before the Crossing,” Puschel said, giving their adventure a name. Flauschi smiled. Whatever came next, they would face it side by side.
