The Cheeky Autumn Leaf

The autumn forest glowed gold and red as a single maple leaf danced through the air in front of Puschel and Flauschi.

Puschel“I’ll catch it!” Puschel cried, reaching out with both paws. But the wind carried the leaf first to the left and then back to the right.

Puschel missed, spun around after the leaf and tried once more. Flauschi watched the little catching game with an ever wider smile.

Then the leaf drifted slowly down and landed right on Puschel’s nose. He went cross-eyed at his unexpected decoration. Flauschi briefly covered her mouth with one paw and giggled. Puschel began to laugh too as the cheeky leaf wobbled on his nose.
