The Cucumber View

Flauschi leaned back with two cool cucumber slices over her eyes. Puschel guarded her quiet moment so carefully that he noticed even the softest little slide.

Puschel“Do not worry. I will catch everything!”

The first cucumber slice slipped from Flauschi’s eye, bounced once on the armrest and landed exactly on Puschel’s nose. He stared cross-eyed at it, holding both paws ready in the air.

Flauschi“Well? Is the view good up there?”

Flauschi peeked from beneath the second slice and giggled. Puschel immediately declared his cucumber nose the newest Wusel Forest fashion—until his little snack slid back onto the plate.
