Two Stars in the Water

At the shore of Cloud Lake, another question waited. An island lay in the mist, visible for only a few heartbeats.

On the quiet shore, Puschel and Flauschi join paws. Two turquoise stars of light reflect in the lake and point together towards the Mist Island while the leaf compass rests peacefully between them.

For a moment, everything around them became quiet. Neither needed to explain why this moment mattered more than the entire plan.
