The Pinecone with the Giant Bow

Puschel winds lots of red ribbon around his pinecone while Flauschi holds a second pinecone with a neat little bow.
Two pinecones, two bows—and both just right.

Flauschi tied a short red ribbon around one pinecone. Puschel took the other and wrapped his ribbon around it once, then again—and, just to be safe, many more times. Soon the pinecone had vanished beneath red loops.

Puschel‘A little more festive than I planned,’ he murmured. Flauschi held up their creations side by side. Flauschi‘Everyone has their own style.’ Puschel proudly put his ribbon-pinecone beside hers on the shelf.

Your little preparation

With an adult, decorate a dry fallen pinecone using a short strip of paper or fabric ribbon. One little bow is enough.

For adults: Adults check natural finds for dirt and small parts. Keep long ribbons away from small children.
